At LOST FORMAT, we promise to donate an item of clothing to a homeless charity for every item sold.

So why do we care so much about the issue of homelessness? Because for us, it's personal. Our co-founder Ernie Berlin is a Russian refugee and understands what it means to be displaced. A charity organization helped his family emigrate safely to the U.S. during the 80's, and they wouldn't have found success in the U.S. had they not been supported by passionate, kind-hearted people.

Mariann is part of our creative team here at LOST FORMAT. When she was going to college out-of-state, her mother was living in her car. Mariann understands the helplessness that over 500,000 Americans feel when they or their loved ones are faced with poverty and homelessness. Mariann also grew up very poor, and without the kindness and support of social service agencies and charities, she would not be where she is today.

Over a decade ago, our co-founder Chad moved to the city because he- like many creatives- was drawn to its culture and diversity. That's what Chad values most about living here, and it's why he believes it's in everyone's interest to help others live their best life. To achieve their wildest dreams, without fear.

It's this positive, creative spirit that strengthens and sustains our neighborhoods, our cities, and our nation as a whole- but it's up to us to cultivate this spirit. Thanks to the supportive people in our lives, we can do what we love, and that's why its our goal to pass on the good will. We want to empower our customers and our homeless neighbors... and inspire other companies to follow suit.

Very soon, we'll have our first series of t-shirts available for purchase on our website. In just a couple weeks, we'll be shooting more of our rowdy Kickstarter video. Things are moving at the speed of light here at LOST FORMAT, so now's the time to join in the adventure! We need all hands on deck, so let us know how you'd like to contribute!
